Breathing Air Monitor- BAM

Many of today's breathing air monitors are quite costly due to features including multiple gas detection, programmability, data logging, and LED displays.

TP Manufacturing has taken a practical and inexpensive approach to monitoring hazardous gases in confined spaces. Our 'BAM' simply monitors CO or O2 levels to indicate when and which type of self rescuer needs to be used. Our monitor provides audible and vibratory alarms when breathing hazards are present. If alarmed, three intuitive indicator lights inform the user of the 'safe/danger' state of CO Breathing Air Monitorin the air, the 'safe/danger' state of O2 in the air and battery strength of the device.

When packaged as a hybrid system with our 'dockable' O2 SCSR and CO Filter, the result is a cost effective way of maximizing breathing time by determining if a specific hazard exists, and if so, which breathing device is appropriate to use. For example, if an oxygen deficient hazard exists, use the SCSR only. If a CO hazard exists in an oxygen-adequate environment, use the CO FSR only. If no hazard exists, don't use either device and save valuable breathing time in the event it's needed later during an escape or rescue. TPM's docking connector allows the user to readily switch between breathing modes and unlike other SCSR's, our SCSR with a demand regulator only delivers oxygen when the user breathes. If the user switches to the FSR mode, the oxygen stops flowing, hence conserving valuable O2.
