Our emergency escape SCSR+2 product line was funded by NIOSH through our parent company TPI and developed in close cooperation with industry experts. Our emergency entry TACR product line was funded by the Technical Support Working Group whose charter is the development of counter and anti-terrorism technologies.
Emergency Escape Breathing Devices
Self-Contained Self-Rescuer Hybrid- SCSR+2
TPM's SCSR+2 combines a self-contained self-rescuer
plus carbon monoxide filtered self-rescuer plus CO & O2 breathing air monitor in a hybrid system designed to significantly
enhance user breathing resources.
Self-Contained Self-Rescuer- SCSR
TPM's SCSR is a state-of-the-art compressed oxygen escape Rebreather with unique docking
valve for attaching additional breathing devices without breaking seal. TPM's SCSR incorporates a demand regulator and modern CO2 scrubbing technology. Can be used as a stand-alone device or with the hybrid SCSR+2 system.
Filtered Self-Rescuer- FSR
TPM's Filtered Self-Rescuer (FSR) utilizes state-of-the-art carbon monoxide filtering technology to
significantly increase breathing time. TPM's FSR can be used as a stand-alone device or with the
hybrid SCSR+2 system.
Breathing Air Monitor- BAM
TPM's Breathing Air Monitor (BAM) monitors CO and O2 levels to indicate when and which type of self-rescuer needs to be used (e.g.: SCSR, FSR or neither). TPM's BAM can be used as a standalone device or embedded in the miner's cap lamp battery system.
Emergency Entry Breathing Devices
Tactical Rebreather- TACR
TPM's Tactical Rebreather (TACR) is a state-of-the-art compressed oxygen entry Rebreather that provides 2+ hours of breathing time in a 20-lb package (about the same as a 30-min. open loop SCBA).
